The I.T. Policy is designed to include cover for general liability, covering an insured for damages caused by bodily injury, but it also covers the professional liability of the business. This includes "Malpractice" claims, in which companies are sued for failing to maintain accepted standards of care as technology professionals. This also includes breach of contract claims for failing to perform contracted services in a timely manner and within contractual terms. The policy will protect the business against these damages, but it also provides for the legal costs to defend an allegation, which can have catastrophic effects on a company's bottom line.
