Barry has over 40 years in the insurance industry, having worked for two of Australia's largest underwriters in claims, underwriting and sales before seeing the light and becoming an insurance broker. A Holdfast stalwart for the last 15 years, Barry works across all classes of general insurance and his in-depth knowledge of underwriting makes him particularly effective at lobbying on behalf of his many business clients.

In addition to his considerable insurance experience, Barry is also a keen fisherman (he is particularly partial to King George Whiting) and an open water, distance swimmer. He swears he sometimes combines the two, but we are struggling to believe it.
